Bloomsbury Square - London, WC1

This 23 week Design and Build project was undertaken for The Board of Deputies of British Jews.

The contract, to provide a new lift within a secondary stair of a 4 storey listed building consisted primarily of the construction of a new lift shaft and pit within the well of an existing staircase including all new services and finishes, and thereafter the installation of a new lift serving the basement and all upper floors. 

Including structural alterations to the existing cantilevered stone staircase and reinstatement of the existing cast iron balustrade around the new load bearing lift shaft, these works were carried out in a fully occupied office with limited storage space and restricted access into the building at basement level.
